"I have never seen this kind of media blitzkrieg. Rs. 10,000 crore is the publicity campaign budget of the BJP and Modi. About 90% of this amount is black money," Congress spokesperson and Union minister Anand Sharma said.He said the magnitude of the BJP campaign to project Modi had never been seen before. Sharma said it was strange that Modi was promising to eradicate the evil of black money when the BJP itself was using black money."We have to take Modi seriously now for his claim that he is capable of unearthing black money. This is an advance demonstration of not only his capability to unearth black money but to use it. People of need to be told in proper perspective where this (campaign) money is coming from," Sharma said.He added that the BJP's expenditure on publicity would be 25 times more than that of the Congress. The BJP campaign spending came under attack from the Samajwadi Party too.In Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav said the BJP was spending crores of rupees on campaigning and the amount would be realised from the people after the elections. "There is no Modi wave. It is only Rs. 1,000 crore that is creating an atmosphere like this," Yadav said.Source - Hindustantimes
