Kejriwal to address his 1st Gujarat rally in Bapunagar

AHMEDABAD: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal will address his first public meeting at Vijay Chowk in Bapunagar on March 8.

Kejriwal, who will be on a three-day visit, will challenge Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi in his own bastion Bapunagar, which has a mixed population of North Indians and people from Saurashtra.

According to AAP leaders, Kejriwal will arrive in the city in the morning and will be escorted to Gandhi Ashram. After paying homage to the Father of the Nation, he will reach AAP office, where he will attend a meeting of party leaders and discuss the names of candidates for the 26 Lok Sabha seats.

Later in the evening, he will address a rally at Vijay Chowk.
