The opposition to the Aam Admi Party's economic policies is getting louder from its industrialist supporters.
After Captain V Gopinath, now Infosys Executive Chairman Narayana Murthy has raised concerns over the party's decision to disallow FDI in the retail space.
In an exclusive interview to CNN-IBN, Murthy said AAP must stop practising the economics of the 1940s and 50s.
Murthy said that in winning the Delhi elections AAP did a good job. "They spent very little money and they had a very clear theme - fighting corruption and that was very attractive to people," he said.
Murthy believes that AAP's clear theme made the party very attractive and helped them win 40 percent of the seats.
However, Murthy is of the view that the AAP needs to use modern technology and social principles to succeed rather than depending onthe principles of 40s and 50s.
"Use the technology of the 2014, use the business models of 2014, use the globalisation principles of 2014, leverage the power of FDI, leverage the power of technology based modern corporation throughout the world etc," he said.
Murthy, whohas been one of the vocal supporters of the the AAP's brand of political activism, said that party needs to act smart to gain back the lost attractiveness.
